  5. General Cleaning and Disinfection.

  Course Outcomes :

  1. Understand the importance of the Environmental Sanitation Regime.

  2. Understand the roles of key stakeholders i.e., Premises Managers and Environmental Control Coordinators.

  3. Understand the overview of pest management, cleaning and disinfection, and indoor air quality, and infectious diseases prevention and control.

  4. Draft and oversee the implementation of an Environmental Sanitation Programme as Environmental Control Coordinators.

  5. Acquire the essential knowledge and skills to perform their duties and for obtaining an ECC certificate of registration.

Duration

2 days (16 hours)

Day 1 :

1. Half-day Virtual Classroom Training (Synchronous) – 9am to 1pm
   Participants are required to attend the entire session from 9am to 1pm via their own Laptop or PC.
2. Self-study e-Learning (Asynchronous)
   Participants will be given e-Learning materials to complete (time required: 4 hours) at their own pace over 3 to 5 days before the session on Day 2.

Day 2 :

1. Full-day Virtual Classroom Training (Synchronous) – 9am to 5pm
2. Online e-Assessment – 5pm to 6pm
   Conducted on ASCENSUS INSTITUTE's in-house Digital Campus at the end of the Virtual Classroom Training (Synchronous) on Day 2.

Participants are required to

1. Attend the full session from 9am – 6pm.
2. Bring along a Laptop to complete the Assessments.

Note: All Virtual Classroom Training (Synchronous) will be conducted via Zoom

Graduation Requirement and Award

Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Performance (Electronic Certificate) from ASCENSUS INSTITUTE upon completion of the course when they meet the following criteria:

1. Minimum attendance of 75%, and
2. Pass in Multiple Choice Questions of not less than 70%, and
3. By submitting a complete and acceptable Environmental Sanitation Program

Important Note:

Attending and passing the ECC course will not automatically lead to a successful registration as an ECC with the National Environment Agency (NEA). The minimum requirements to apply for ECC Certificate of Registration with NEA (besides passing the ECC course assessment) is  Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5 for Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing or pass in ‘N’ level English. For applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements, NEA may consider other qualifications and relevant working experience. Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements to apply for ECC Certificate of Registration should seek clarifications from NEA before signing up for ECC course.
