This is a 2-day course designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to develop and monitor the implementation of an environmental sanitation programme for their specified premises. Participants who complete this course will be able to register with NEA and perform their duty as Environmental Control Coordinators, should they meet the ECC registration requirements.
The participant will be able to understand the importance of the Environmental Sanitation Regime, the role of key stakeholders i.e. Premises Managers and Environmental Control Coordinators, and have an overview of pest management, cleaning and disinfection, infectious diseases prevention and control, and indoor air quality to be able to draft and oversee the implementation of the Environmental Sanitation Programme in his or her role as Environmental Control Coordinator.
Premises Managers, Operators and Landlords of specified premises as listed in the schedule of specified premises; Environmental Public Health (Designation of Specified Premises) Order 2021.
Examples of specified premises: F&B outlets (only selected SFA foodshop licence type), Schools, Preschools, Eldercare, and Youth Facilities.
Anyone who wants to register as an Environmental Control Coordinator (ECC).
Minimum N' Levels, or WPL Level 5 (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening).
1. Environmental Public Health Act.
2. Roles and Responsibilities of Environmental Control Coordinators (ECCs).
3. Indoor Air Quality.
4. Overview of Infectious diseases, Infection Prevention and Control.
5. General Cleaning and Disinfection.
6. Pest Management.
1. Understand the importance of the Environmental Sanitation Regime.

Please note that attending and passing the ECC course does NOT automatically lead to the successful registration as an ECC with National Environment Agency (NEA).
